omg omg omg omg omg! Amazballs as my nephew used to say. Well done you ... and they couldn't have gone to a better person. I'll bet you have things that DT doesn't have.
Wowza! So many wonderful pieces! I’m happy that Diane realized the importance of keeping the collection together and to pass it to someone who will preserve it, add to it, and make it real. Looking forward to your future posts.
There’s so much here I still haven’t seen! We have a lot to look forward to as you scan and share, but please make sure you take time to ENJOY this windfall. You could easily wear yourself out trying to get that huge collection out on anyone’s timeline but your own. Have fun with it!
Oh, I intend to go slowly. I know if I go too fast, I miss important details...and the trained archivist in me won't let me do that. Plus - as you said - it's so FUN!
Thank you! I am just shocked by how much good stuff is in here - including some odd little bits I never would've thought of ever collecting. But that's the fun of it!
OMG, WOW! I used to loooove that website too and remember reading everything on it back in the day (around 2007 or so). So happy to see her things going to a good home!
How lovely! I also used to get so much information from The David Tennant Theatre Archive, and was really sad when it went away. I do hope Diane is doing well, and am glad that she was able to send her collection to someone who will love and care for it!
On a side-note: That green patterned blanket/bedspread reminds me so much of the one my parents had when I was growing up! I'd completely forgotten about it until I saw your photos. Wow, that takes me back!
She's doing fine - she had to become a caregiver for her aging mum, and that's why the sites went down (she couldn't manage them and parental care, too). When we spoke a few weeks ago she said she's moved on into a different fandom, and all this stuff's been in a storage unit for years. She said she wanted it to go to someone who would love it and see it taken care of.
And she gave it to me for free - all I had to do was pay postage! Though of course I paid her something, because I'm not a heathen. Because holy moly!
ETA: That's a threadbare green chenille blanket my grandmother used in the 60s. I have a heavier-weight pale green one, too, which I use in the winter. This darker one is my summer chenille. :D
I forgot that DT, Peter Davison, and Neil Dudgeon were in the same episode of Mrs. Bradley! know they were rarely like the books, but I enjoyed the series! You have quite a treasure trove of information!

Hahaha, I might at that! Certainly some of the 7:84 information and some programmes, maybe? Who knows!

This is really an archive! So thankful that there are people like the former host to this collection! And now you are the curator of it ...
I'm privileged to have it. It's definitely going to be treated like the fabulous thing it is!

If you can find the "25th actor" in the UK and has shared acting time with both David and Michael... this is truly the holy grail!
You lucky girl I’m so jealous but really happy for you

Thank you! I'll let her know how many people are happy about the transfer we made. :D

Oh, man, do I ever! It's going to take me weeks to get through it all...but I think I'm up for the challenge! :D
What a GREAT trove, congrats! 🔥
Thanks! I am still absolutely GIDDY.....
